My dogs are definitely bonded besties. If I dare to take my Pug mix out somewhere without his senior Dachshund sister, he feels like something is missing and we both get a severe scolding when we get home because she is equally upset. Thankfully, we rarely have to separate them, and they make it clear that it’s unbearable when we do.

Rhubarb the Pit Bull and her Doxie sister Plum seem to have the same dynamic. When they saw each other after an entire week apart, they practically exploded with joy.

In the TikTok from @rhubarbthedoggo, Plum stood at the door after a 7-day stint away from home. The door opened to Rhubarb, who looked like she had been waiting there for the past week counting the minutes until her fur baby bestie was back. As soon as the two set eyes on each other, joyful mayhem broke loose.

“My dogs’ reaction to seeing each other after a week apart,” the on-screen text explained, with the caption adding, “I think they’re happy to be back together.”

They showed their unbridled enthusiasm with wiggling bodies, nonstop tail wags, and an almost frantic need to get as close to each other as possible. After some playful and affectionate roughhousing, the canine cuties got in their dog bed to catch up on some much-needed snuggling.

Despite their marked size differential, the pretty Pittie and darling Doxie have an unbreakable bond and weren’t happy being apart for that brutal length of time.

Rhubarb and Plum Are True BFFs

Their love-filled reunion was not an isolated incident. The social media account showcased the tender relationship between Rhubarb and Plum, where they are clearly forever friends. They spend most of their time together cuddling, playing, or just chilling and happy to be in each other’s company.

Followers fell in love with the precious pooches and advised their parents that they avoid any time apart:

“Don’t ever separate them again, do you hear me?” one demanded

“The small/big combo is always the best,” another pointed out.

“I’ve never in my life seen dogs so happy to see each other like this,” a follower remarked.

“Why would you ever separate them” I’m calling CPS,” someone joked.

If Rhubarb and Plum ever have to be apart in the future, maybe FaceTime could help bridge the distance.
